A Jean Cake Production is an independent production company created by writer, producer, director and performer Sam Sutton. The company is based in Leeds and was launched in 2023.

The name of the company is named after Sam Sutton’s late Mother who was an amazing baker, hence 'A Jean Cake Production.' The cake represents a slice of sweetness (film, theatre, writing etc...) and the tagline, ‘Be Aware That You Are Rare’ is based around different collaborators coming together to create distinctive works of art.

Our ethos ‘Be Aware That You Are Rare’ is our mission to cultivate cutting-edge ideas and creative talent of interdisciplinary art forms to achieve the best and most ambitious work.

AJCP is home for original great story telling that is innovative and pushes boundaries, we are a place where ideas can be nurtured and produced in a supportive environment with both new and established collaborators.

At AJCP, we make content that portrays real people and real lives. We create film, radio/podcasts and theatre that delivers entertainment and high energy drama, with original characters that always feel relatable.

We also specialise in content, for independent creators on a wide variety of projects. From broadcast series, documentaries, multi-camera live events, photography and much more.

We offer a full set of resources from ideation, producing, equipment, post and delivery, or any of the above to make your project a success.
